AmRest Holdings is the largest independent restaurant operator in Central and Eastern Europe with a growing number of international outlets. Since 1993, AmRest has built a portfolio of well-known, powerful brands such as KFC, Pizza Hut, Burger King and Starbucks through franchise and joint ventures. AmRest is the owner of the La Tagliatella brand, which is developing internationally, both in the company’s restaurants and in franchises. In 2012, AmRest acquired two unique brands operating in China – Blue Frog and Kabb. In 2018, the company’s portfolio was replenished with two equity brands: Bacoa and Sushi Shop.
Today AmRest has about 2,370 leading fast food and casual food restaurants. Thanks to the company’s internal motto “anything is possible”, AmRest’s 46.5 million employees in 25 countries deliver delicious food and exceptional service at affordable prices to their customers every day. But in order to feel the whole atmosphere of the institutions, you need to visit them personally.

The history of the company began in 1993. It was then that two entrepreneurs, Henry McGovern and Don Kendal, decided to open their first catering establishment. The first restaurant was opened in Poland. The entrepreneurs approached PepsiCo for support, but received a negative response. But PepsiCo, in turn, offered the young company AmRest Holdings to open a Pizza Hut franchise.
Over time, the company began to expand and buy and operate its own restaurants. The first restaurants were opened in Poland, and then restaurants appeared in the Czech Republic and other countries of Eastern Europe. Today AmRest Holdings is the largest management company.
